Spring 2026 Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

The promoter

1. The ‘Promoter’ of this Prize Draw promotion is Buckinghamshire Art Society, also known as Bucks Art Society.

The prize

2. The prize is a contribution up to the value of £100 towards a piece of art being sold at Bucks Art Society’s 2026 Spring Exhibition.

3. The winner may contribute their own funds in addition to the prize to meet the full selling price of piece of art.

4. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.

5. Bucks Art Society reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Bucks Art Society’s control makes it necessary to do so.

6. The prize needs to be claimed before 30 May 2026 or will not be awarded.

Eligibility to enter

7. The Prize Draw is only open to entrants who are UK residents aged 18 years and over.

8. In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.

9. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.

10. Entry to the Prize Draw is not permitted to members of Bucks Art Society or any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw.

11. When entering the Prize Draw, you may be asked if Bucks Art Society can contact you in future about news and events but you have the right to decline this offer without affecting your entry.

12. The Prize Draw is free to enter.

How to enter

13. The Prize Draw will be held during Bucks Art Society’s 2026 Spring Exhibition where entries will be taken by paper or on a digital device and is open to anyone eligible.

14. Any subsequent entries after the competition ends will not be included in the draw.

15. Bucks Art Society will not accept responsibility if an entrant’s contact details are incomplete or inaccurate.

16. Automatically generated entries and entries via agents or third parties are invalid and shall not be considered.

17. Entries become the property of the Promoter and are not returned.

The Prize Draw

18. A winner will be chosen by random draw from all entries with correct answers performed by a computer process within one week of the Prize Draw ending.

19. The decision of Bucks Art Society regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw shall be final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into about it after the winner has been selected and notified.

Winner announcement

20. The winner shall be notified no later than 11 May 2026 via contact details they provide on the Prize Draw entry form.

21. Bucks Art Society shall attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times.

22. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 10 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and Bucks Art Society reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

23. All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting info@bucksart.co.uk

Receipt of the prize

24. The email shall contain details about the prize winner’s eligibility to claim a £100 deduction on a piece of art and it shall be the responsibility of the winner to proceed by contacting Bucks Art Society.

25. As previously mentioned, the prize winner must complete the purchase the piece of art before 30 May 2025 and the sum of £100 will be deducted from the final bill.

Data protection and publicity

26. By entering the Prize Draw, you consent to any personal information you provide in entering the Prize Draw being used by Bucks Art Society of administering the Prize Draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy notice.

27. Bucks Art Society will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the Prize Draw, unless otherwise stated in the entry details.

28. By entering this Prize Draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Bucks Art Society for the purposes of the administration of this Prize Draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.

29. The winner agrees to take part in reasonable post-event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.

30. An announcement of the winner and approximate location will be made via the Bucks Art Society website and we reserve the right to publish details in a press release issued to local media.

31. All personal information shall be used in accordance with Bucks Art Society’s Privacy Notices.

Limitation of Liability

32. Bucks Art Society does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the Prize Draw or being selected for a prize, save that Bucks Art Society does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.

33. Bucks Art Society do not provide any form of practical or IT support for the administration or awarding of the prize.

General

35. Bucks Art Society reserves the right to cancel the Prize Draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.

36. The Prize Draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
