Autumn Exhibition 2026

The Buckinghamshire Art Society is excited to unveil its Autumn Exhibition at Wendover Memorial Hall, Wharf Road, Wendover, HP22 6AF, running from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, 10 am – 5 pm.

This autumn showcase brings together some of the county’s most talented artists, offering a brilliant chance to enjoy new work, meet the creators, and get closer to the vibrant local arts scene.

A special Preview Evening & Young Artist Awards (YAA) will take place on Friday 30 October from 6.30 pm – 9 pm, giving visitors the first opportunity to explore the exhibition and speak directly with exhibiting artists.

The Award presentations and official opening are at 7 pm. Drinks will be provided.

The YAA is a countywide initiative supported by the Buckinghamshire Art Society to encourage artistic ability among younger members of the public and is open to 16- to 20-year-old art students in the county.

Everyone is welcome, and entry is free.

Wolfango Chiappella

I’m a British-Italian artist, based in Buckinghamshire but originally from the rolling hills of Piedmont, Italy. I paint mostly in oils, working from memory, sketches, and those quiet moments when a place stops you mid-step.

My work tends to orbit around landscapes — not the grand postcard kind, but the everyday corners where light, sky, and earth have a quiet conversation. I’m drawn to the shifts in weather, the worn paths, the way a tree can lean into a field like it's got a story to tell.

I’m not much for big statements. I paint what I notice, and sometimes what I miss. Sometimes I’m chasing a real memory, sometimes it’s the feeling of one.

Each painting is a small attempt to hold onto something fleeting — a sky clearing after rain, the gold haze of a summer field, the hush just before dusk. If you find a bit of yourself in any of them, then the painting’s done its job.
