Dave Bellamy is a Buckinghamshire-based artist working primarily in oils from his home studio in Ley Hill. His work reflects a deep connection to landscape, shaped by years of trail running and immersion in the dramatic environments of North Wales, Cornwall and the Chilterns. Expansive skies and powerful seascapes form recurring themes, expressing his fascination with light, weather and atmosphere. His paintings are often described as expressive, powerful and evocative.

Alongside his artistic practice, Dave has built a 40-year career in the museum sector, having worked with institutions including the British Museum, the British Library and the British Motor Museum. He currently works within the exhibitions team at Discover Bucks Museum, where his creative and professional worlds intersect.

Dave’s work is currently on display at Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury and at The Crown Public House in Ley Hill, where over 30 works are exhibited. These venues provide both a local and wider audience with the opportunity to engage with his landscapes, many of which celebrate the distinctive character of Buckinghamshire and resonate strongly with walkers and members of the local community.

In addition to landscape painting, Dave has contributed creative work to exhibition projects, including an artwork produced for Beyond the Stars: A Propmaker’s Guide to the Galaxy at Discover Bucks Museum.

For commissions or enquiries, Dave can be contacted via email or through Instagram.

Wolfango Chiappella

I’m a British-Italian artist, based in Buckinghamshire but originally from the rolling hills of Piedmont, Italy. I paint mostly in oils, working from memory, sketches, and those quiet moments when a place stops you mid-step.

My work tends to orbit around landscapes — not the grand postcard kind, but the everyday corners where light, sky, and earth have a quiet conversation. I’m drawn to the shifts in weather, the worn paths, the way a tree can lean into a field like it's got a story to tell.

I’m not much for big statements. I paint what I notice, and sometimes what I miss. Sometimes I’m chasing a real memory, sometimes it’s the feeling of one.

Each painting is a small attempt to hold onto something fleeting — a sky clearing after rain, the gold haze of a summer field, the hush just before dusk. If you find a bit of yourself in any of them, then the painting’s done its job.
