2. The BAS Young Artist Award

This contest takes place each autumn in connection with the BAS autumn exhibition.

Buckinghamshire's Young Artist Award 2009:

Every year BAS invites all schools and colleges in Buckinghamshire to submit paintings, sculptures and prints created by young artists aged between 16 and 18. We are keen to recognize and reward talented future artists in the county. Entries are judged by a panel of BAS members.

Entries this year were of an exceptionally high standard. Congratulations to our gifted young winners.

First Prize: £100 and a Certificate
Awarded to Tessa Pierce, Chesham High School

Second Prize: £50 and a Certificate
Awarded to Kate Miller, The Misbourne School

Third Prize: £25 and a Certificate
Awarded to Rosie Chatwin, The Misbourne School
